The Board represents the Foundation in addition to the founder both in and out of court. It is involved in the selection of projects and supports the benefactress in administrative tasks.
Foundation Members
An integral part of the Foundation include the founder and two board members, as well as at least two advisors. Volunteers also help here and there wherever they can.

Founder
I am 66 years old, have four children and three grandchildren. In my first job, I was a primary school teacher. At 33 I started my second study of protestant theology and became an evangelical pastor in 1992, currently in Wiesbaden-Auringen.
As a child, fairness was an existential issue for me. As the only child of an entrepreneur, the prosperity associated with it was something very ambiguous for me. In accordance with my Christian faith, this wealth is not my remuneration nor the remuneration of my father, but rather a gift from God, because if he had been born in the slums of Recife or elsewhere, he would have never had this opportunity. I suffer from the fact that millions of people are hungry or even starving, and that every day thousands of children die from the effects of poverty and malnutrition. So it was obvious for me when I was a child to give up some of my pocket money In fact I was looking for ways to do more than “just” donate.

I am born in ’77 years old, a professional designer and work independently as a freelance designer and photographer.
As the son of the founder, I have enjoyed a religious education in which it was in particular always conveyed about how important it is to think those who are less fortunate. An important insight for me was how easy it is to help and that even a tiny contribution can make a difference.
It is my pleasure, to actively help to realise my mother’s dream and to support many interesting projects and people all over the world. To that end, I mainly work on the visual appearance of the BeA Foundation, and as a member of the Board of Directors I also says how and where the foundation should focus its efforts.

I was born on February 29, 1968 in Zweibrücken, Germany and currently live with my family in Saarbrücken.
I have been working at the Landesbank Saar in Saarbrücken since May 2011, where I oversee the wealth management team. With more than 20 years’ experience with major banks in the area of investment, I have now decided to work for a regional medium-sized bank as I want to be closer to people. The focus of my work is on holistic strategic advising for both private and institutional investors.
Owing to my many years of experience of working with foundations and the friendly ties I have to the founder and her family, I am pleased to sit on the Board of Directors and help in actively selecting the projects and to take care of the management of the Foundation’s assets.

As the eldest son of the founder, I was born in Saarbrücken on April 10, 1976. Together with my wife and our children, we live in beautiful Rheinhessen near Mainz, where I am active in the parish council of our hometown.
After leaving school in 1995, I completed my civil service at the handicapped persons workshop of the Bad Kreuznach Diakonia. During this time, I learned a lot about living with a disability and am pleased that I was able to have this great experience. I then started my Business Administration studies at the Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany, where I graduated as a Diplom-Kaufmann at the end of 2001. In 2002, I started in the IT Finance sector in Frankfurt, and since then I have been active in stock market trading systems. I currently work at Bloomberg LP in Frankfurt in the sales department, where I also participate in many social projects alongside my work on a voluntary basis.
Even as a child, I was taken by the dedication our mother showed in helping those in need in the world. As a family, we made a huge contribution and experienced a great deal, both privately and as part of my mother’s work. We want to continue and enhance this as part of our foundation efforts.

At 30, I’m the third-oldest son of Bea Ackermann and I currently live in Hofheim (Diedenbergen), Germany. I completed my master’s degree course in international management in July 2014 at the University of Worms. I am currently working for Thomson Reuters in Frankfurt.
With regard to the Foundation, it is important for me to cooperate in such a way that the support of many interesting and varied projects is secured in the long term. Ultimately it is about helping those who are in need.

I am the youngest son of the founder, and was born on the 10th October 1995. I am currently studying Sports Science in Mainz.
I have been involved with the founder’s communities since I was small, from children’s services, confirmation classes through to other tasks for the community. I have been active in the comfirmand efforts since 2010.
It is very important to me to be part of this foundation as I know that not everyone has such a good life as we do. I think it’s very important to share and to help others. You get back much more than you would think. I’m glad that thanks to my upbringing, this has become a matter of course.
