Current development
Requests for material support are currently increasing rapidly. Among other things, the clients report existential fears due to the increase in energy costs and increased food prices due to high inflation. At ZORA, it is experienced that many young women are dependent on additional help in the form of food, hygiene items and clothing for themselves or their children.
Objective of the project
Young women who want to break out of their violent environment need direct support in the form of providing tickets, food for the next few days and secure accommodation. Accommodation in an anonymous shelter is particularly important for women affected by violence, as further violence by perpetrators from the family of origin or (ex-)partners is feared.
Acute security of supply
In the event of an unplanned departure from the family, the women need food, clothing and hygiene items. For girls and young women who are heavily controlled at home, they need a protected counseling situation and guidance as well as strength to start a “new life”.
